Babar Azam & Co. have a chance to advance if they win their final three league stage games and a few other matches' outcomes swing in their favor.

Pakistan would reach 10 points if they win their next three games, which are slated to be played on November 4 against New Zealand, November 11 against Bangladesh, and November 31 against England. However, as South Africa and India have already reached 10 points, Pakistan is unable to catch them at this time. Pakistan cannot lead the points table since India and South Africa have not yet played each other, and one of them will undoubtedly score more than ten points. Therefore, the Men in Green cannot finish first.

Pakistan cannot finish in the top two if South Africa and India win at least one of their remaining three and four matches, respectively. Third or fourth place finishes will be their greatest chances. However, Pakistan will need to lose their next three games against Afghanistan (November 7), Bangladesh (November 11), and England (November 4) in order to finish third. Australia's victory against New Zealand on Saturday, October 28, will need to happen first. In that scenario, Pakistan would surpass the five-time champions with three victories to reach 10 points, while Australia will finish the league stage campaign with just eight points.

Pakistan will want New Zealand to lose their final four games against Australia (October 28), South Africa (November 1), Pakistan (November 4), and Sri Lanka (November 9). As of now, they have eight points from five matches. The Black Caps will finish with eight points if they drop all four games.

In addition, Pakistan has to hope that the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and England lose two or more of their final four games. If everything goes according to plan, Pakistan will still make it to the semifinals despite having lost four of the six games they have already played.
